SpeechVibe internet control features overview

Click on anything, anywhere into Microsoft Internet Explorer!

SpeechVibe can control entirely Internet Explorer by voice. Each item under the green dots are voice activated. Just say "Click Hot News", for example, and a click will be generated on the 'Hot News' item in this page.

Because you deserve the respect to know that you are being listened to, each green dot is there to inform you of the fact that SpeechVibe is indeed listening for the corresponding item under it to be spoken.

Although SpeechVibe uses a carefully thought translucent design that complements well the standard Windows graphical user-interface without interfering, should you feel that some green dots do not allow you to correctly read the content under, just say "Flash computer" and all SpeechVibe user-interface will disapear for a moment to let you read without further obstruction.

Disambiguation

It can happen that some items do not have an English pronunciation, or they have one but it is just too long to say. For example, if a user wants to click on the Korean text below...

...he could then simply say "Click hot-spot".

The page's content would then change to the following...

By saying "Pick eighty-six", the click on the Korean content will be generated.

Why have your browser favorites at your fingertips when you can have them at your tongue-tip?

Just say "Go to web-site" and SpeechVibe will display your browser favorites in a scroll interface so that you do not need to navigate further to consult the page of your choice.

On the top-left area of the user-interface shown are the different folders containing the favorites within Internet Explorer. If the favorite that you trying to invoke is known to you to be within any of these folders, just say "Pick thirty-one", for example if you want to have access to the 'Technology' folder as within the previous screen. This will result in the positioning of the right scrolling list of favorites to the first favorite of the corresponding folder, where it will pause for sometime and then start scrolling again.

Once the favorite to be invoked has been detected in the top-right scrolling area, just say "Pick thirty-two", for example if you'd want to invoke the Apple web-site.

Should the web-site that you are looking to invoke not be in the provided list of favorites, you can easily spell it out. Just say "HTTP triple-W Charlie November November dot com", for example if you want to invoke http://www.cnn.com. The alphabet chosen is the one specified in the spelling page of the preferences. Once you are satisfied with the recognized URL, just say "Enter" and the corresponding web-site will be shown.

If you changed your mind and do not want to access a web-page anymore, just say "Escape" and SpeechVibe's favorites user-interface will be closed gracefully.

Internet Explorer voice commands

As SpeechVibe installs, it also pre-populates Internet Explorer with useful voice commands.

"Show feeds" To display the feeds user-interface, use this voice command.
"Refresh page" Using this voice command refreshes the currently displayed page.

Sending e-mails with SpeechVibe

Because writing an e-mail address is most probably as cumbersome as spelling it using speech for even the best of us, SpeechVibe offers an e-mail address user-interface. Just say "Send an e-mail" and SpeechVibe will display a scrolling environment with all the e-mail addresses it has access to.

Note: The first time the "Send an e-mail" or "Insert an e-mail address" voice command will be used, the e-mail address importing wizard will open for you to import the addresses from another program holding them. Simply follow the instructions of the wizard, and the full power of this user-interface will then be available to you.

Simply say "Pick twenty-one" to invoke the corresponding e-mail address into your default e-mail program. You may also spell the e-mail address from within this user-interface using the current phonetic alphabet that is specified into the spelling page of the preferences.

Alternatively, if inserting an e-mail address as text is needed instead of launching the default e-mail program all-together, use the "Insert e-mail address".

Should you need to close this user-interface without completing your command, say "Escape".
