  • A mouse grid needs to be visible for this command to be available.
  • If a mouse grid is visible (as to the right), then this condition is fulfilled.

If the status icon associated with Mouse Control has a yellow background (as shown below within the red circle), then Mouse Control is available but not visible for the context.

It is then possible to say " show mouse grid " in order for the mouse grid to become visible.

If the status icons are not visible, say " Flash SpeechVibe " and they will be shown momentarily.

If the status icon associated with Mouse Control has a red background (as shown below within the red circle), then Mouse Control is disabled for the context.

To enable Mouse Control for the context, invoke the preferences from the SpeechVibe menu. In the 'General' page, set the 'Mouse control' feature to 'Enabled' (as shown below).

  • The built-in command " Hide mouse grid " needs to be enabled for the context (by default it is).
  • In SpeechVibe, every command can be disabled or customized accordingly to the speaker's wishes. From the 'Built-in commands' page in the preferences, ensure that the Hide mouse grid voice command has the 'Enable built-in ways to invoke' check box selected. In order to see that user-interface, you will need to switch to the 'Advanced view' in the preferences window.

Should the built-in command " Hide mouse grid " have the 'Enable built-in ways to invoke' check-box not selected, then it is not possible to say " Hide mouse grid " and have it recognized by SpeechVibe. In that event, the ways to invoke the voice command Hide mouse grid is not by saying " Hide mouse grid " but by saying it as described in the 'Custom ways to invoke'. If 'Custom ways to invoke' is empty and 'Enable built-in ways to invoke' check-box is not selected, then it is not possible to invoke the voice command " Hide mouse grid ".

  • IMPORTANT: SpeechVibe needs to be actively listening.
  • When the microphone is on or sleeping and it is actively listening, the microphone icon's border in the system tray moves. If you do not see the icon's border move, SpeechVibe or Windows is busy on another task. Do not talk when SpeechVibe is not actively listening. Instead wait for the icon in the system tray to move again before talking.
